Product Design: UX and Human Factors
I designed and prototyped an application interface design for a robotic arm for spinal surgeries that integrated existing technologies with new CT scan capabilities that allow surgeons to walk through each step and slice of the procedure prior to surgery.
While at Mobius Imaging (acquired by Stryker) I established and led a UX/HFE division, influencing $100M+ in product development for medical imaging CT scanners and robotic surgical tools. I also conducted two human factors studies focused on CT scanner software/interface and a robotic spinal surgical tool including task analysis, risk analysis, and usability testing in alignment with FDA, AAMI, and IEC human factors guidelines. During my time at Mobius/Stryker, I applied HE75, IEC 62366, and FDA Human Factors Guidance to ensure regulatory compliance for medical imaging devices and surgical robotics.
